When the leading-edge aftermarket parts specialist Skunk2 Racing, part of Group A Engineering, decided to upgrade their R&D capabilities they opted for an all-wheel-drive dynamometer from Rototest.

Based out of Norco, California, Skunk2 Racing's goal since 1994 has been to simply build the highest quality, best performing aftermarket parts for today's sport compact vehicles. The company design and manufacture high-performance engine and suspension components, including but not limited to: supercharger systems, engine pistons and connecting rods, coil over suspension kits, intake manifolds, throttle bodies, valves, camshafts and much more.

All Skunk2's products are carefully planned and designed in-house, using the latest computer simulation and modelling techniques, followed by careful testing in controlled laboratory environments using state-of-the-art equipment. They rigorously tests all their parts for performance gains with a Rototest dynamometer. Testing requires hundreds of pulls, and sometimes many more, which is why their dynamometer needs to be durable and consistent. With their HUBDYNO dynamometer by Rototest in their possession for almost a year now Skunk2 have had time to evaluate it in depth and they now know for sure that it is just as accurate on the 1,000th dyno pass as it was on its first. The dynamometer’s accuracy is one feature that Skunk2 values as top three feature of dynamometer system. The other two on their top three list are the systems mobility and its user friendliness.
